It contains over 60% protein.
Manduca is a dehydrated granulated food ready for cooking. You just need to hydrate it with water and add it to any recipe, perfectly replacing minced meat. It has a neutral taste: it absorbs the flavour of the preparations to which it is added.

Currently there are few sources of plant protein as an alternative to animal meats.
Soya and legume flours such as pea are the most commonly used. These options consume significant natural resources, come from places far from our geography and to be attractive to the end consumer, they are marketed as ultra-processed products.
The carob tree grows endemically throughout the Mediterranean basin, requires no irrigation, fertilisation or fumigation, is harvested by hand and its cultivation is ancestrally linked to Mediterranean agricultural culture.

Eureka! It has been years of trials and prototypes trying to develop a protein food based on carob seeds, and Manduca appeared by chance!
I am Bernardo Cifre, a chemist by profession. My first job after finishing university was in a company that processed carob. There I learned everything about it and became passionate about carob and its possibilities. Also, my children are diabetic and my obsession was to create a very low carbohydrate, high protein food that they can eat without limit, and here it is!
From the countryside of this small island in the middle of the Mediterranean, we are starting a revolution in the food industry.
